Jim Maloof
Oct. 18, 1919 - Jan. 19, 2013

Our Green Ribbon Tribute With Jim's passing we have lost one of the true icons of and champions for Peoria. While we are saddened by the loss, his spirit will live on in the hundred - if not thousands - of people he has inspired over the decades. That's why we are sharing Our Green Ribbon Tribute: to commemorate this man who wanted everyone around him to succeed - especially the city he loved so much. So when you see those little green ribbons, we hope you will be reminded of all the big - and little - things Jim has done to help countless others succeed. Please share your stories about Jim Maloof here.

Jamie Atchison - Normal, Illinois

I first met Jim and Trudy in the early 1990s through my fundraising group Epsilon Sigma Alpha. He was an amazing man and was so dedicated to Danny's dream that no child shall die in the dawn of life. His commitment to the kids of St. Jude was truly an inspiration. He will be greatly missed.

When I was the IL state council of ESA, he attended my convention and sang, "Let there be peace on earth," a moment I will cherish forever. He was one of a kind with a heart of gold...may God bless and comfort all of us mourning the loss of a truly great man. Thank you to Maloof family for sharing him with us and continuing his legacy for St. Jude and the community.
